Now lets talk about the performance of the Maritimo 60, this boat weighs approx 40 tonne with a 6500 litre load of diesel and 1500 litres of water (yes it has a 180LPH water maker) it will plane at 12.7 knots and do 32 knots top speed, the economy figures are amazing (see performance figures under extra info) making this the most economical 60 flybridge on the planet and with exceptional range! Equally happy in a following sea as punching into a strong head wind, it will turn in its own length at speed and is easily the quietest boat I have ever been on, even with the flybridge and saloon doors open. With the fully enclosed flybridge closed a normal conversation can be held without shouting at 30 knots! There are plenty of other goodies such as built in Karcher pressure washer, near survey fire protection equipment and other goodies, the total extras list equals over $450,000, the hull is built with kevlar reinforcing to stiffen the structure resulting in better handling and weight distribution. An interesting by-product of the walkaround decks is the apparent lack of spray off the wake and diesel fumes that most boats seem to suck back into the cockpit,It seems that the air flows along the walkaround decks and pushes the air out the back of the boat.
