Mustang 2800 series 3 LE, rare diesel conversion in 2014 with bow thruster, immaculate throughout.
Mustang 2800 Series 3 LE, 2005 model, fitted with a new diesel Volvo powertrain in 2014, this means a new 230 HP D3 diesel engine, new duo-prop gearbox, new transom housing, new power assisted hydraulic steering, new electronic shift controls, new gauges and new Volvo EVC system. That’s right, a diesel Mustang 2800 with only 170 hours! But that’s not all; the guy who spent all of this money also decided to go the whole way and fitted a bow thruster! Of course no-one would go through this expense and effort on a roughy, so the boat itself can only be described as immaculate, not a mark on the gelcoat or upholstery that I could find, and the canvas /clears are in 95% condition. Then there are the extras; Lowrance Elite - 5 GPS, Navman 550 Tracker sounder, VHF radio, Fusion stereo, flat screen T.V, snap in carpets, pressure hot water, electric toilet with holding tank, transom shower, upgraded power systems with 240 shore power into an inverter and new upgraded smart charger, stainless stern rail, electric anchor winch and more! The layout has always been a winner - 4 berths, good sized galley with 12/240 fridge and single burner stove, stand up head and decent cockpit space. The LE version also comes with the upgraded gloss finish cabinetry and the deluxe interior upholstery for a touch of extra bling. We know this is the most expensive 2800 on the market, but when you see the money spent and understand how much easier this boat is to own and enjoy, with the diesel motor and all major new mechanical components and the bow thrusters. Everything is easier from a handling, fuel consumption and importantly a maintenance point of view. We couldn’t see where one cent needed to be spent; even the antifoul has just been done! If you want the ultimate then you have just found it – get in quick.
